France - Walking The Arles Route or Via Tolosana from Castres to Oloron
Self-guided walking tour - the Arles Route from Castres to Oloron Sainte Marie.
From the Black Mountain, la Montagne Noire, a small massif covered with oak and beech forests to the Lauragais plain and the entrance of Toulouse, the Pink city can be entered on a pleasant footpath miraculously preserved.
After Toulouse the Haute Garonne offer white footpaths, cultivated fields and also pretty stopovers like L Isle Jourdain or Auch, the Armagnac capital.
After Auch the route follows the green hills of the Gers department and the famous Bastides which are fortified villages like Montesquiou or Marciac. Then you will enter into Bearn and the foothills of the Pyrenees up to Oloron-Ste-Marie.

CASTRES Le famous Museum of Goya settled in the ancient Diocèse, the wealthy Cathdral of St Benoit dating back to 1718, the Tower and the 13th century cloister are some of the places to visit in the city.
