France - Vezelay Route between Châteauroux and Limoges - 10 nights

The Via Lemovicensis or Vezelay Route will take you from the vineyards of Burgundy in central France to the foot of the Pyrenees and the Spanish border. 900 km in 43 walking days crossing a wide variety of terrain. Much of the land is agricultural or forested.

The section from Châteauroux to Limoges crosses the Creuse department called the Berry area and its lush countryside, a few attractive villages like Gargilesse Dampierre or Crozant perched over the river, and the painters valley. 

After the Berry the varied landscape of Limousin with stopovers in remarkable places as Bénévent l Abbaye and St Leonard de Noblat before reaching Limoges.
