The Camino Frances follows its way after the Navarra region.
The Way crosses the Rioja and the large plain of vineyards where renowned wines are produced. After Santo Domingo de la Cazalda, and the ancient pilgrims hospital, here is the Castile. A tough ascent up the Oca mounts and then the crossing of the barren Meseta leads you to Burgos, where the Cid was living. In this section the National road is never very far and sometimes it is difficult to avoid walking by the traffic.
Day 1
Logrono. Visit the city during the paseo time. Night in your hotel
Day 2
Logrono-Najera- 26 km (16 miles) - 6h30 walk. Cross the Rioja by the Ebro River. The Camino Frances or French Way leads you to Najera. The Way tries to avoid the road.
Day 3
Najera- Santo Domingo de la Cazalda- 21 km (13 miles)- 5h15 walk.
Day 4
Santo Domingo de la Cazalda - Belorado - 22 km (13.7 miles) -5h30 walk.
Day 5
Belorado - Atapuerca - 30 km - (18.7 miles) - 7h30 walk.
Day 6
Atapuerca - Burgos - 17 km (10.6 miles) - 4h30
Day 7
Trip ends after breakfast
