Day 1
Arrival in Souillac, tourist town nestled on the banks of the Dordogne river, with its abbey-church, its typical houses and small shops. The day of arrival, a member of the agency will meet you at the hotel.
Day 2
SOUILLAC / SAINT SOZY (16 km) From shaded paths to the crests of Monges rock, this walk will offer magnificent views on the Dordogne Valley
Day 3
SAINT SOZY / CARENNAC (22 km) Walk between causse and valley, meeting with the impressive cirque of Montvalent and the typical villages of Floirac and Mezels, nestled on the banks of the Dordogne, before getting to the medieval village of Carennac.
Day 4
CARENNAC / AUTOIRE / LOUBRESSAC (11 to 18 km) You will leave the brown tiles of the manors in Carennac to get to the fortified village of Loubressac, offering a magnificent view on the valley. From there, you will have the possibility to walk to the village of Autoiredominated by an impressive cirque and a waterfall 400 meters high.
Day 5
LOUBRESSAC / GRAMAT (20 km) After a plunge in the depths of earth in Padirac chasm, and a refreshing break on the edge of Salmière lake, you will walk through the Gramat Causse, among junipers and walls built with dry stones.
Day 6
GRAMAT / ROCAMADOUR (13 km) The Alzou valley and its numerous water mills will lead you to the breathtaking site of Rocamadour where traditional houses and churches are superposed against the cliff.
Day 7
ROCAMADOUR / SOUILLAC (24 km) After a walk in the heart of Alzou canyon, you will discover the typical water mills lining the banks of the Ouysse river. From the village of Lacave where you can visit the caves, you will follow the Dordogne valley to Souillac, with nice views on the castles of Belcastel and La Treyne.
